A Doctor of Optometry can determine your glasses prescription and diagnose eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. It is recommended for children aged 0-18 years and seniors 65+ years to have eye exams annually, and for healthy adults aged 19-64 years to get examined every two years.
Ask us if your eye exam is covered by MSP. We can also directly bill your insurance provider to reduce your upfront fees.
Dry eye disease and blepharitis (eyelid inflammation) are very common causes of ocular discomfort. Symptoms include redness, burning, tearing, itching, gritty sensation, light sensitivity and more. The type of treatment prescribed will depend on the cause of your symptoms.
We offer the latest non-invasive technology in dry eye treatment, including RF (radio frequency) and IPL (intense pulsed light), which can significantly improve symptoms for patients not finding enough relief with conventional treatments. This technology safely reduces inflammation using subdermal heat to rejuvenate the meibomian glands in the eyelids. It can also be used to treat eyelid styes by dissolving the hardened oil in blocked glands. Other treatment outcomes include improved skin complexion and reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the treated area. Book a consultation to learn more.
We have a variety of contact lenses to meet all your needs, whether for sports, work or special occasions. We will ensure optimal comfort, vision and fit in order to keep you and your eyes happy.
If you experience dry eyes, we can recommend eye drops appropriate for use with contact lenses.
We can also fit you in colour contact lenses in a safe manner for your unique eye curvature to prevent corneal abrasions (scratches) and infections.

It's
important for seniors to have routine eye exams annually since the likelihood
of eye disease such as macular degeneration increases with age. This service is
partially covered by MSP every 12 months.
We also partner with local senior care facilities to offer mobile
optometry services to those who cannot leave their care facility and make life
a bit easier and clearer.
Did
you know it is recommended for children to have their first eye exam by 6
months of age and annually thereafter? MSP fully covers this service every 12
months at our clinic.
Children's
vision plays a significant role in their performance in school and sports. For
infants and younger children, we use objective yet accurate methods to
determine their prescription and obtain valuable information about their ocular
and neurological health.
Myopia control is a form of treatment
specifically aimed at slowing the progression of near-sightedness. If left
untreated, myopia can lead to continuously worsening vision and increased risk
of retinal detachment, myopic maculopathy, glaucoma and cataracts.
We offer specialty glasses proven to be
effective for myopia control. The efficacy of treatment depends on age and rate
of myopic change.
Do you have an eye injury or sudden vision
loss? Are you experiencing eye redness, pain or discharge? We offer same day
appointments for all eye emergencies.
A small scratch or foreign object in the
eye can result in significant pain and discomfort. We can remove foreign objects in a safe manner and treat
corneal abrasions with the appropriate antimicrobials to prevent further injury
and infection.
